Web design is one of the most visual fields in IT. The result is visible straight away: the page comes to life in the browser, and the link can be shared with family and friends.
Where does a website start?
Every project starts with an idea and a mock-up. Children learn to think through the page structure, choose colours and fonts and build a prototype in Figma. Taste and attention to detail develop already at this stage.
From mock-up to a live page
- HTML basics: page structure and content;
- CSS: colours, fonts and block layout;
- responsive design: the site looks good on both phone and computer;
- publishing: the page goes live on the internet.
The first project is usually a personal page or a website about a favourite hobby.
Why is it a good start?
Building pages teaches accuracy and systematic thinking, while quickly visible results keep motivation high. Web design is an easy path into both development and product design: both roads are open.
