A love of computer games often worries parents. But an interest in games can be channelled into something useful: invite your child not only to play but also to create their own game worlds.
What does game development teach?
- project thinking: from an idea to a finished product;

Which tools should you start with?
Scratch and Minecraft Education suit younger students, while older ones learn Roblox Studio with the Lua language and game builders such as GDevelop. Each tool lets you get a playable result quickly.
